Keeping boarders busy with online lessons, games, and baking
Since the MCO was enforced some boarders who have not been able to travel home have stayed in the Boarding House. Their routine has not changed as they have been extremely disciplined attending online 鈥榣essons鈥 in the library throughout the 鈥榮chool鈥 day under the watchful eye of houseparents and Mr Paul.
Throughout the week, tasks from our Coping Calendar are sent to all boarders which is then displayed on our #stayathome wall. We have had boarders send in 鈥榝ive things that are beautiful in the world around them鈥, 鈥榩ositive stories in the news鈥, 鈥榳hat we are grateful for鈥 and 鈥榝avourite music that lifts their spirit鈥, among others.
We have played many fun games, completed jig-saws and tested our baking skills to keep us busy. Messages and photos have been sent via email and whats app to those who have had birthdays recently which helps us to remain cheerful during this somewhat challenging time.
