The greatest aspect of learning is sharing what you know. Staying true to this practice, Nexus hosted the inaugural Taylor鈥檚 TeachMeet on 27 November 2017. The gathering united many young educators including first-year teachers from Taylor鈥檚 Schools alongside the second and final year student-teachers from the School of Education at Taylor鈥檚 University.
Inspired by the valuable insights learned from the Nexus teachers, Taylor鈥檚 University graduate Ms Kit May organised the first Taylor鈥檚 TeachMeet with great success. Aside from discovering real-life perspective about the teaching profession, she believed that her coursemates from Taylor鈥檚 University will benefit greatly from the knowledge gained from the experienced teachers here.
The Nexus teachers opened the programme with a talk about their topic expertise. Then, the day continued with a sharing session where first-year teachers presented a strategy they have learned in their course of teaching.
